Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced thin
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced (any color)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • ¼ cup water
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips and set aside.
  • In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and water. Stir until the sugar and cornstarch dissolve. Set aside.
  • In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the sliced chicken to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic, ginger, green onions, and bell peppers. Sauté for about 3-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables.
  • Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and vegetables. Stir well to coat everything evenly.
  • Allow the mixture to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
  • Remove from heat and sprinkle sesame seeds on top, if desired.
