Ingredients
  

Chocolate Truffle Base

  • 8 oz dark chocolate chopped
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 1 tbsp orange juice

Coating

  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup crushed nuts optional
  • ½ cup sprinkles optional

Instructions
 

Making the Truffles

  • Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, combine cream, orange zest, and juice.
  • Gradually mix the cream into the melted chocolate until fully incorporated.
  • Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
  • Once chilled, scoop out the mixture and roll into balls.

Coating the Truffles

  • Roll the truffles in cocoa powder, crushed nuts, or sprinkles as desired.
  • Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Refrigerate for an additional 30 minutes before serving.
