Ingredients
  

For the meatballs

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey Choose ground beef for richness or turkey for a lighter option.
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs For binding.
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese Adds nuttiness.
  • 1 large egg Helps with cohesiveness.
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley For color and freshness.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder For flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon salt To taste.
  • 1 teaspoon pepper To taste.

For the sauce

  • ½ cup sweet chili sauce Main sauce component.
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha Adjust for heat preference.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef or turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, chopped parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
  • Form the mixture into bite-sized meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Cooking

  • Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.
  • In the last few minutes of baking, drizzle with more sweet chili sauce and additional sriracha if desired.

Serving

  • Serve the meatballs with toothpicks for easy eating.

Notes

These meatballs are great for parties and can also be enjoyed as a quick weeknight dinner. Feel free to experiment with different sauces like BBQ sauce for a different flavor profile. Keep in mind that meatball sizes may vary, which can affect cooking times.
